What’s in My Travel Bag for New York City?

Hello everyone,

Packing for road trips is one of my favorite things to do. But due to lack of space, I would make sure to pack light by bringing pieces that are easy for mixing into different outfits. For my four days trip to the Big Apple, I will be sharing with you my travel lookbook as well as toiletry essentials.

The Lookbook

For my outfits, I packed two pairs of shorts, a pair of long pants and several tops for mix & match. I paired with most of these outfits with my mini day bag from Herschel, convenient for storing my vlogging gears, wallet, and sunglasses. I went for a streetwear style so I matched my outfits with white chucks, simple shorts, and bag. I managed to pick up a pair of sandals from Aldo, simple enough to match with my black pants.

Toiletry Essentials

Toiletry Bag

Starting off with this toiletry bag that I got from Amazon. It is a small and compact bag with lots of little slots for smaller bottles, a pocket for things such as facemasks, cotton pads, toothbrush, and toothpaste. It also comes with a hook that makes it easy to hang it onto any doors or racks. I love that it is not bulky even after fitting in all of my products, and the material is quite durable.

Top Row

Thayers Witch Hazel: A multi-functional product that can be used as a toner and a face mist. The product does not contain alcohol so it does not dry out my skin. I love using it after washing my face in order to calm my skin.

Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Essence: Extremely hydrating for the day time. I love using it for my daytime skincare routine because it would keep my skin hydrated and soft all day.

Keihl’s Dark Spot Solution: I’ve been using this product to treat my acne scars for almost three months now. I love the light texture, it absorbs into the skin very nicely. Since dark spot correctors tend to be drying on the skin, I prefer using this product once a day and at night. So far I’ve been very happy with the result, my acne scars are fading and I noticed my complexion is looking brighter.

Lancome Multivital Night Cream: This product is thick and moisturizing, I love how hydrating it is on my skin. Even after a long night of sleeping, my skin would still feel super soft in the morning. Since it is so hydrating, this is a great product to use during long-haul flights.

Lancome Eye Cream: I’ve only started using an eye cream this year since I’ve always thought you can use the same moisturizers on your face on your eye area. The area around your eyes are more sensitive, so using an eye cream is more gentle and suitable.

Bottom Row

Lancome Rose Jelly Mask: I love using a jelly mask on flights because it is so hydrating and soothing. Jelly masks have a thicker consistency than a moisturizer, so using it on top of your moisturizer will help your skin super hydrated and plumped.

Lancome Day Time Moisturizer: This is one of my favorite moisturizers since it keeps my skin feeling soft and glowy the entire day.

Bath & Body Works Hydrating Ultra Shea Body Cream: Body cream is a game changer! It is thick and does a great job of keeping the skin soft, hydrated and smelling nice.

Vaseline: HOLY GRAIL!

Systane Ultra Eyedrops

For my Jelly Mask, I prefer putting it in a small travel size container that I can use during my flights. As for the toner, I prefer putting it into a small spray bottle and using it as a face mist rather than on a cotton pad. It is super handy to cool down the skin after being out in the sun.
