During my first energy work session with my friend at Sacred and Divine, she has shown a tool mindfulness tool for emotional protection. I have a strong sense empathy, where I can emotionally put myself in others’ shoes, which makes it easy for me to connect with them. It’s so helpful when I’m trying to relate to my loved ones in their times of need because my emotions would be the same as theirs. The biggest drawback is that it works so well that if I were to watch or witness anything sad, I will immediately connect and stay in that state for the whole day.
The mindfulness tool is useful to help creates a barrier between me and my surrounding, and shielding me from emotional distress situations. I’ve found it to be helpful in creating my safe space and allowing to observe things more objectively. This meditative/mindfulness tool has helped us to create our safe zone and we can stay there as long as we need.

To practice this, take a few deep breaths, close our eyes, then start imagining a silver bubble blooming from the crown of our head wrapping down to our feet.
Practice makes perfect, and I think spending time to practice creating an emotional shield will greatly benefit our daily life. There were moments of breakdowns that I receded into my safe space. And at moments when I am running low on energy, I can protect myself from running low on emotional stamina.

Emotional boundaries are so important for our mental health. Great post!
